In his new memoir, "Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard
" Tom Felton stated that his "Harry Potter" co-star and lifelong friend Emma Watson inspired him to be open about his unexpected escape from rehab.
In a recent interview with USA Today in favour of his book, Felton said, "Emma was a tremendous force of encouragement to be like, 'This will resonate with people.
"I felt a little more confident in myself after being praised, so I said, "You know what? This occurred, and it now forms a part of my existence," "said he.
The "Harry Potter" series introduced Watson to the actor playing Draco Malfoy.
Watson supplied the preface to Felton's memoir, despite the fact that their last collaboration came out more than ten years ago.
The two remain friendly. Watson was one of the "first persons" Felton spoke to about his memoir, the author said USA Today.
I was a little hesitant to discuss my family and my private life, about not just the happy times but also some of the sad ones, he admitted.
"Of course there will be hesitation when revealing that to the world. She had a significant impact on the decision to urge full disclosure.
